I love thinking of things to do.
doing them.... is a little different.
That's true about a number of things in life for most people (like being a Rock Star, or a Pro Athlete) Errands are thing like that for me. I love thinking of little errands, home improvements, odd jobs and possibilities. I hate taking the time to shop for lumber and to measure and get things done. -not because i hate doing that stuff, mind you, it's because i always have a long list of much more creative and important things i'd RATHER be doing.
(i know, i broke the "never use CAPS when you blog rule", let's both move on from here)
I have big projects that i care much more about...about a mile of them. And when you put some little odd job -like registering your car- its tough to find time to do it.
The pattern is: ignore the dumb job for the highly fullfilling one, untill that becomes extremely life-and-death urgent and if you don't act on it now the Government will burn your body and force you to live as Darkman, only in a cave. Then be extremely stressed out as you try to get that errand done alongside a stack of other "dumb" errands you've ignored.
Errands steal the thing i love most "unplanned time." Women also steal this, but they are much more beautiful, kissable, and so forth.
The question is... what errands am i ignoring to take the time to type this?
Well, i DID (oh no, caps again!) take the time to do a shwacklaod of errands today. so there!
still, that pile is pretty big....
